Library seeks proposals for architectural services
The Sikeston Public Library invites qualified architectural and design firms to submit proposals for professional architectural, interior design, and related consulting services for the renovation of the library’s main lobby and associated public entrance areas.
The library seeks to improve the appearance, functionality, accessibility, safety, and overall
visitor experience of its lobby. The project is intended to create a more welcoming entrance, improve circulation and public access, update finishes and lighting, modernize restroom facilities, and provide more effective amenities for library patrons.
The selected firm will assess existing conditions, consult with library representatives, develop design alternatives and recommendations, prepare construction documents and specifications, assist with contractor procurement, and provide construction administration services as agreed upon with the library.
The library anticipates that the project will involve the entrance and lobby area extending from the main entrance through the lobby to the McAmis Room, along with designated exterior doors, porch lighting, restrooms, and other associated improvements described in this RFP.
The library reserves the right to refine the scope as existing conditions are evaluated, design options are developed, and project costs are established.
